Guided tour for groups: „Church and palace - St Remigius Church and Kaiserpfalz“
The medieval centre of Ingelheim also included St Remigius Church. Its church tower contains an early Christian baptismal font, one of the most significant archaeological discoveries of recent years. In the 7th century, Ingelheim’s oldest sacred building was located on the site of today’s baroque St. Remigius Church. It was also the Palatinate church of Charlemagne and his successors. During a subsequent tour of the Archaeological Zone Kaiserpfalz, you will learn everything you need to know about the Ingelheim palace.
