30 June 2026: The renovation of the defensive wall in the Kaiserpfalz Archaeological Zone is about to begin. As a result, the ‘Warmluftheizung’ and ‘Jüdischer Friedhof’ heritage sites on Karolingerstraße will remain closed for safety reasons. The Bolander Information Point is also affected and cannot be visited whilst the building work is in progress. The restoration is expected to be completed in November 2026. In addition, due to staffing constraints, the Museum at the Imperial Palace and the outdoor monuments will be open only from 10 am to 5 pm on Fridays to Sundays in August and September 2026.
